Sterling silver chain necklace
Chunky Sandbank design

The chain itself becomes the centrepiece in this Sandbank necklace. Its chunky silver form gives Jo’s collection a bolder silhouette, suited to wearing where the links can take the attention.

THE HANDS BEHIND THE PIECE

Rockpool Jewellery
Whitley Bay, UK

Jo makes Rockpool Jewellery in Whitley Bay, taking the nearby sea as her starting point. Carved wax and lost-wax casting give her silver and gold pieces their distinctive surfaces. Barnacles appear throughout the work: small, irregular forms that become a way of celebrating the character we acquire through life.
