Silver Ocean Wave Necklace with Turquoise and Lapis

£125

The Magic of Fireflies and Dragonflies
  • Handmade fine silver pendant with openwork wave shapes.
  • Turquoise and lapis gemstones.
  • Layered round silver disc detail.

Turquoise and lapis bring two shades of blue into Sue’s silver wave necklace. Flowing openwork curls across a rounded silver disc, giving the pendant several layers to explore. It is a coastal design led by the shapes and colours of water rather than a single shell or sea creature.

THE HANDS BEHIND THE PIECE

Meet Sue Studd.

The Magic of Fireflies and Dragonflies
Suffolk, UK

Sue Studd brings a teacher’s curiosity and an artist’s eye to silver clay. Working in Suffolk, she builds jewellery around the small details of the natural world: a dragonfly’s wings, a leaf’s branching veins, the outline of a shell. Her background spans painting, textiles and primary teaching; today, she makes fine silver jewellery and shares the craft through hands-on workshops.
