Jo makes Rockpool Jewellery in Whitley Bay, taking the nearby sea as her starting point. Carved wax and lost-wax casting give her silver and gold pieces their distinctive surfaces. Barnacles appear throughout the work: small, irregular forms that become a way of celebrating the character we acquire through life.
