Rings in Silver — Saturday 3 October 2026

£150

The Magic of Fireflies and Dragonflies
  • Saturday 3 October 2026.
  • For returning students or people with previous silver clay experience.
  • Make a fine silver ring, allowing for clay shrinkage.

Make ring construction the focus of a day with Sue on 3 October. Aimed at people who have worked with silver clay before, Rings in Silver explores the practical decisions behind a well-formed band, including shrinkage, structure and the addition of your own surface detail.

MEET YOUR TUTOR

Meet Sue Studd.

The Magic of Fireflies and Dragonflies
Suffolk, UK

Sue Studd brings a teacher’s curiosity and an artist’s eye to silver clay. Working in Suffolk, she builds jewellery around the small details of the natural world: a dragonfly’s wings, a leaf’s branching veins, the outline of a shell. Her background spans painting, textiles and primary teaching; today, she makes fine silver jewellery and shares the craft through hands-on workshops.
