Silver Luna Moth Necklace

£450

The Magic of Fireflies and Dragonflies
  • Statement Luna moth necklace in fine silver.
  • Wide-winged moth design.
  • Gemstones include amethyst, aquamarine, blue chalcedony and turquoise.

Wide moth wings provide a setting for a varied group of stones in Sue’s Luna Moth necklace. Amethyst, aquamarine, blue chalcedony and turquoise bring several colours into the fine silver design, making this a piece for someone who likes both an unusual subject and a richly detailed finish.

THE HANDS BEHIND THE PIECE

Meet Sue Studd.

The Magic of Fireflies and Dragonflies
Suffolk, UK

Sue Studd brings a teacher’s curiosity and an artist’s eye to silver clay. Working in Suffolk, she builds jewellery around the small details of the natural world: a dragonfly’s wings, a leaf’s branching veins, the outline of a shell. Her background spans painting, textiles and primary teaching; today, she makes fine silver jewellery and shares the craft through hands-on workshops.
