Silver Coral & Pearl Necklace

Coral beads and freshwater pearls on hanging strands.
Handmade necklace by Sue Studd.
Fine silver coral-branch element.

Pearls, coral beads and a silver branch give this necklace a looser, more flowing character than a single pendant. The hanging strands introduce movement beneath the polished silver, creating a coastal design with several textures to enjoy: smooth pearls, beadwork and the branching shape above.

THE HANDS BEHIND THE PIECE

The Magic of Fireflies and Dragonflies
Suffolk, UK

Sue Studd brings a teacher’s curiosity and an artist’s eye to silver clay. Working in Suffolk, she builds jewellery around the small details of the natural world: a dragonfly’s wings, a leaf’s branching veins, the outline of a shell. Her background spans painting, textiles and primary teaching; today, she makes fine silver jewellery and shares the craft through hands-on workshops.
