THE PERSON BEHIND THE PIECES

A silversmith’s eye.
A love of pearls.

Originally from Brighton, Emma-Kate trained as a silversmith at the Royal College of Art. She established her first studio in London’s Clerkenwell in 2004 before building her jewellery business in Wales.

Today, her gallery and workshop in Roath, Cardiff, bring making and meeting people together. Wax carving and hand forging help her turn natural forms into contemporary jewellery.

The curved petals of a calla lily and the layered shape of a daffodil run through her signature collections. Freshwater pearls sit at their centres, bringing a natural lustre to sculpted silver and gold finishes.
