A miniature pinecone becomes a silver pendant with all its small, overlapping details intact. Hollie casts a real cone, then darkens and polishes the surface to give its scales definition. The result is a woodland keepsake with more depth than its modest size might suggest.

She founded Curious Magpie Jewellery in 2015 and works from a garden studio in rural Leicestershire. For many of her woodland pieces, lost-wax casting carries the surface of a real natural find into metal, preserving the irregularities that first caught her eye.
